Could you be a volunteer?

Even if you’ve never heard of Motor Neurone Disease, the Motor Neurone Disease Association wants to hear from you. You could make a big difference to someone with MND by helping us as a volunteer.

Why we want you

Although there is as yet no cure for MND, we can try to make life easier for people who have the disease and give support to their families and carers. That’s where you come in. The MND Association was started by volunteers and we pay special attention to training and developing the people who work with us.
Everyone has something to offer and that’s why we want to hear from you.

Working together

We need volunteers to do a variety of jobs; to help with fundraising, to organise events, to help with the administration, to publicise our work and help raise awareness, to visit people with MND…the list goes on.

You can choose just how much time and commitment you want to offer and you can expect:

  • A warm welcome, especially to our Open meetings in Nottingham and Sutton in Ashfield - a good way to meet everyone initially.

  • Training and support

  • Insurance cover and out of pocket expenses

  • Meeting fellow volunteers

  • Experience of working with a National and professionally run charity

  • Most of all you can expect the satisfaction that your efforts are making a difference in the lives of people affected by this appalling disease
